The 2025 National Science Month theme, is "Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future through Science and Innovation". It explains that the key for a better tomorrow is not just using the things we already know, but being brave enough to explore into the mysteries of the our world. For us, it means science is about invention or creating solutions for the things that haven't been figured out yet, like advanced technology.
The connection between science and society will only get stronger in the coming decades. Science is the main instrument in fixing big problems such as climate change, food shortages, and health crises. Society depends on scientific creations for us to survive and thrive. However, this process must be guided by people. We need to make sure that the power of innovation is used fairly and ethically, so that new technologies will benefit everyone, not just a few people.
Harnessing the unknown is about being responsible with the knowledge we are gaining. It’s a message that the our future belongs to those who are curious and who use their scientific knowledge to build a world that is stable, advanced, and fair for all. To make this things happen, our generation must accept this challenge to make our world a better place.
