In the Philippines, Nutrition Month happens in July, where it is all about raising awareness about the importance of our health. This year's theme is "Food and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin. The theme emphasizes the importance of food and nutrition security as a human right.
In Ilocos Sur National High School, there were a lot of activities led by the TLE department and their club. Some of their activities are the Food Fest, Poster Making, Quizbee, and the Nutri Jingle. In the Food Festival, our section participated and served different kinds of healthy foods. In the Quizbee, two of our classmates participated and I think they got second place. The highlight of Maxwell in Nutrition Month is when our section was selected in the Nutri Jingle contest and half of our class was chosen and they got third place out of all the contestants around the Philippines.
This Nutrition Month is not just about making our body healthier and stronger, but also about connecting with our classmates and with other sections with the help of the activities that was led by the TLE club. They made it fun and memorable, but it wouldn't be possible without the participation of every student.
